By accessing or using PRESTILON in any way — including creating an account, installing the local backend, or subscribing to a plan — you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction
- You have the legal authority to enter into binding agreements
- If acting on behalf of a company, you are authorised to bind that company to these Terms
- You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy
PRESTILON is an AI-powered fleet monitoring platform for 3D printers. The Service consists of:
- Cloud platform — web dashboard at prestilon.com for account management, licensing, and remote status overview
- Local backend — a software application installed on your own machine that interfaces with printers on your local network, runs AI inference, and stores telemetry data locally
- AI diagnostics engine — on-device anomaly detection, failure prediction, and automated print intervention features
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information at registration
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- You may not share your account credentials with third parties
- One account per person or legal entity unless otherwise agreed in writing
We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to protect your credentials.
Use of PRESTILON beyond any free tier requires a paid subscription. All billing, payment, cancellation, and refund terms are governed by our Refund & Payment Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Failure to pay applicable fees may result in suspension or termination of access to the Service. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice as described in the Refund Policy.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service or software
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, infrastructure, or other users' accounts
- Use the Service to monitor, control, or interfere with hardware you do not own or have explicit permission to manage
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Service without our written consent
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use automated scripts to scrape, extract, or stress-test the platform without permission
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these provisions without refund.
PRESTILON interfaces with physical 3D printing hardware via your local network. By enabling automated features (such as AI-triggered print pausing or intervention), you acknowledge and accept the following:
- You are solely responsible for the correct installation, configuration, and operation of the PRESTILON local backend
- All automated actions (e.g. print pause, emergency stop) are initiated locally on your machine, not remotely by PRESTILON
- You are responsible for ensuring your hardware (printers, controllers, power systems) is maintained in a safe and operational state
- PRESTILON is a monitoring and diagnostic aid — it is not a substitute for proper hardware maintenance, operator oversight, or fire safety systems
- You must not rely solely on PRESTILON AI diagnostics for critical safety decisions
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PRESTILON, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Hardware damage — damage to, malfunction of, or destruction of 3D printers, controllers, or connected equipment
- Fire, electrical, or physical damage — any damage to property, premises, or facilities caused by or related to hardware operated in conjunction with PRESTILON
- Personal injury — any bodily harm to persons arising from hardware operation, whether monitored by PRESTILON or not
- Loss of production or revenue — failed print jobs, lost materials, missed deadlines, or business interruption
- Data loss — loss of telemetry, print history, configuration, or any locally stored data
- AI decision errors — any outcome resulting from an incorrect, missed, or delayed AI diagnostic or automated action
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise), even if PRESTILON has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to PRESTILON in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
- Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of AI diagnostic results
- Warranties that the Service will detect all hardware failures or prevent all print errors
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PRESTILON and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party
- Any hardware damage, fire, or injury arising from equipment you operate using PRESTILON
- Any misrepresentation made by you in connection with the Service
All content, software, design, trademarks, and technology constituting the PRESTILON platform are the exclusive property of PRESTILON and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service solely for your internal business operations, in accordance with these Terms. No ownership or broader licence is granted.
You retain full ownership of your data (print telemetry, configurations, hardware records). By using the Service, you do not transfer any rights to your data to PRESTILON.
Either party may terminate the agreement under these Terms at any time:
- By you — by cancelling your subscription and ceasing use of the Service
- By us — if you breach any material provision of these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach
Upon termination:
- Your right to access the cloud platform ceases immediately
- The local backend software will enter a restricted mode — AI-driven automated interventions (print pausing, emergency stop) are disabled; the software may continue to display locally cached monitoring data until manually uninstalled
- Your account data will be retained for 30 days then permanently deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitation, indemnification, and intellectual property) shall survive.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia and applicable European Union regulations, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through good-faith negotiation. If not resolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before any material changes take effect, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service before they take effect.
